Question Posted Sunday April 16 2006, 3:42 pm

My fingernails developed strange grooves that haven’t been there before. Is that normal?

Yes it is normal. I have them too and I just noticed them like three years ago. They're from the way you write with a pen or pencil and when you do it for a long period of time then that happens to the ring finger... well at least for me it does. If you don't want others to see it, I guess you could paint your nails.

hmm..it seems kind've normal to me. fingernails can be weird and the shape is always different. i think the grooves have something to do with how strong your fingernails are. here's a website-
