I'm not sure if discharge can mean different things for different people.
But for me,
I had discharge wayy before my period came.
And,
I still have discharge to this day.
Even though I started my period about a year ago now.

Yes and no. Your period usually starts 2 years after you start growing boobs also when you start growing pubic hair and underarm hair thats usually a sign. I started for the first time today but i not really shy about and i know from adults and websites.

Not really. I got discharge for like 2-3 years before I got my period. If one time your discharge is like really heavy and there is a lot of it, then you may get it soon. Be happy that you have discharge and not your period... cause it's a pain!!!
