i like this senior guy (i'm a sophmore) and i'm not sure if he likes me or not. don't want to
make a fool of myself but in a few months he'll go off to college and i dont want to miss this chance. got any ideas to find out if he likes me or is just being friendly?

I think you should find you if he likes you...you can either be bold and just ask him...have one of his friends or your friends t ask him...

Just ask him, what can it hurt? he's going to college soon so if he doesn't, atleast you can still be friends until then. Most relationships don't last in situations like this. You know when the boy goes off to college etc. Anyways if he does like you, then you can go with it from there. good luck
