I got a cell phone last summer. It came with a two year contract. Would I still be able to get a new phone this summer without having to pay a termination fee, if I stayed with my old plan?
tluu78 answered Saturday April 8 2006, 10:20 pm: If I understand you correctly, you are in a two-year contract with a family talk plan. You want to continue with the same cell phone service provider and keep the same plan, but want to upgrade to a new phone. If this is the case, than you would not have to pay a termination fee, but depending on the provider, may have to renew another two-year contract.
If my assumptions were not correct, and you want to keep the plan, but change providers (and also get a new phone) then you would need to pay a termination fee. Hope this helps. [ tluu78's advice column | Ask tluu78 A Question ]
