What is wrong with my friend
i was talking to this guy via email about work...
as usual.and he replied efficiently.
Then one day, i asked him whom does he normally goes out lunch with (tru office email) and suddenly he just went totally shy and stopped replying my mails.
What is wrong with him? He's been avoiding me since that day..
I hardly know him.
Is he gay?

You scared him for some reason. I don't know that it means hes gay though.
He could be married or in a long term relationship of some sort. Maybe he just doesn't date at work. Is their a policy against it? A lot of places have some sort of rules against intra-office dating.
The only way to find out why is just to ask him. It could be he is just shy. If you really want to pursue the friendship, ask him to lunch straight out and see what he has to say. :)
