formal hair styles

Question Posted Thursday March 30 2006, 9:29 pm

My hair is really long. it goes to about mid-back and it's a darkish brown. frizzy, but i'm working on it, lol. I'm going to a really formal event (dress, make-up, the whole 9 yards) and i'm clueless on what i should do w/ my hair. It needs to stay together and pretty for a long time. Any ideas? If you know any sites that would give me a step-by-step guide to an awesome hair style, that'd be fantastic! Thanks!!!

i have hair that is a little shorter than yours and a little lighter in color. i think you should do a half ponytail (straighten your hair as well) with tendrils on the side of your face. and the ponytail as one tendril. when i was in highschool i went to prom and the whole 'hair all up' in like a bun or french twist, just never looked good. i think that with a little hair down with some 'spunk' to it, will look great!

The best way I've found to come up with new hair styles is to go to the grocery/book store and pick up a hairstyle magazine. There are a lot of them out there and they go through each step as to how to reproduce the hairstyle. There is also one website I found that could be of some help and they do go through step-by-step instructions and it is listed below. What is great about it is it is a British web site. The Brits are famous for coming up with the newest and most inventive hairstyles. Good luck and I hope you find just the right look you are looking for.
