I think the colleges are O.k. but not as well known. People won't be as surprised when you say like UOM. Hope everything works out.

The University of Melbourne, and Australian National University continually make the worldwide top universities list. University of Melbourne ranked number 19 in the world 2005 Times Higher Education Rankings. The University of Melbourne has tons of international students, and is renowned for it. ANU is in Canberra, the capital.. and is just as good, however, Melbourne is a much better and more exciting place to live if you ask me. Melbourne was named the most liveable city in the world along with Vancouver a few years ago. Yeah, I'm plugging it..you can guess I live there.. LOL.

Sydney University is also a good one too. Really, it depends what exactly you want to do. Different colleges are good for different things.

Here's the link for Melbourne Uni, ANU, and Sydney University with the information on what you need to get in. If you need anymore help, let me know. I live in Australia, so I'm pretty well-informed on this. :)
