When I breathe heavily or move a little bit, there's a sharp pain a little below my left breast. What is this? Is it something serious?

My doctor pretty much had no idea what it was, especially since I get enough exercise and don't eat incredibly junky food. My mom, who goes to a chiropractor for a car accident injury, told me that I might've thrown my back out. She suggested her chiropractor. I was pretty skeptical but went to see him anyway. After cursorily examining me, he came to the conclusion that one of my ribs was out (without me telling him about my issue), put me on his table, crunched me a little, and that was it (except for everything else he did for my back). It felt slightly worse afterward, but later in the evening I noticed that the pain wasn't there anymore, and it rarely has been since. Every time it appears, he fixes it.
Slightly odd solution, but worth a try.
p.s. I am EXTREMELY skeptical about holistic medicine, so it wasn't just psychosomatic. [ oodles_of_noodles's advice column | Ask oodles_of_noodles A Question ]

The doctor told her it was likely to be gas. Go take a walk, do a little bit of exercise. This sort of...'encourages' things, lol.
If it's not that, do some stretching excercises and try to doing some relaxation techniques. Your body can go nuts when you feel tense, and since this is worrying you, you're probably tensing yourself up even more. I wouldn't be too concerned about it, but if it continues and you're still worried, just go to the doc and see what they say. [ violet911's advice column | Ask violet911 A Question ]
