I've been to the dermatologists once, before and i few regrets of un asked questions that i thought of the day after (or weeks) i was wondering what some questions i should ask the derm, (besides that ones i have already) they be a few you asked some you witch you asked, and ect.
& by the way im going to a whole new derm and there giving me something new and stuff.
Would it be a good idea to write down the names of the products i currently use? I have bad acne and i want to regrets of un asked questions!.
I RATE HiGH!!
However, there ARE some very serious side effects. Accutane can cause depression, weaken the muscles, and if you are female, WILL cause SEVERE birth defects if you get pregnant (Accutane users are required to sign a form stating they nderstand the risks if they have sex while on the medicine, etc etc, so no one can sue the company.), so you're also required to say you have two forms of birth control you are taking. (I used "abstinence for moral reasons, and abstinence for religious reasons). It can also cause mood swings and crying spells. Luckily, I have only suffered from very minor depression from the product, and since teenagers can have mood swings and depression easily anyways, I've noticied very little difference in that area.
...Anyways, the point of my rambling is this: You need to ask him about all the different medications they have to offer (not all derm's provide accutane), and the side effects of ALL the medications...
Then you and your derm need to decide (together) what medication you think is best for you, based partially on how drastic the result are on average from that medicine, and what ill side effects you can and cannot live without.

Like, what do you reccomend I do to keep my skin clear? Or, what type of skin do I have? (Dry, rough, oily, etc.) Tell him you've been to dermatoligists, and their products aren't really helping. Ask if he can help you get rid of your acne! He'll do basically most of the talking, babe. And, yeah, write down the products you use, that'd be soo good for him to know, so he can upgrade you to something better. Good luck! :] [ heyybaby's advice column | Ask heyybaby A Question ]
