okay. so i am DIEING to go on spring break with one of my friends, my parents dont know her very well but im sure they will like her.. the thing is i got in trouble last weekend because i was at a party where drinking was going on but i wasnt drinking and they know that. so im grounded up until spring break.. so i dont know if theyd exactly let me go. also this girl invited me to go with her a little bit ago and she hasnt said anything latley and i dont wanna like invite myself again if she doesnt ask me about it. what should i do about everything? thanks

Once they seem happy with you, maybe after you get a good grade or something, bring us the subject. If they're happy with you, they will be more likely to be okay with you going on vacation with your friend. I'm sure they trust that you weren't drinking, but they are probably upset you were in an environment like that. Now, as for your friend. Just casually mention it to her. Be like I am so excited for spring break, and see what she says. If she doesn't say anything, just ask if she's still going away and if she still wants you to go, she will most likely ask you again to ask your parents. I hope this helps! xomegaroni answered Thursday March 16 2006, 9:37 pm: okay first, your parents probably do trust you, but sometimes they think "peer pressure, especially alcohol wise, can do a lot on their teen. i think you should show them that you are totally responsible & you juss really want to go. maybe your friend can sit down & talk to them about it er they can talk to her parents. if they find out a lot of information on it & details, you'd probably be able to go. about the other girl, i wouldn't bring it up too much. either she forgot er changed her mind. leave it up to her so more drama doesn't come up. plus if she's ignoring it for a reason & you bring it up, you wouldn't want to go with someone that didn't want to in the first place, ya know?? so juss try talking to your parents about it & maybe your friend can talk to them too about the trip. whatever they decide, juss try staying respectful about it so that you don't get in trouble for "being mean" to them er anything.
