Hey I am 16 and me and my bf have been going out for a long time. I am thinking about getting birth control pills but I dont want to tell my mom. Is there some doctor I can talk to with out having to have my mom there.
Jess_babii_06 answered Wednesday March 15 2006, 12:57 pm: Im 15 years old and when i was 14 i got put on birth control because my mom and dad said i was "hitting that age" but there not that bad. Go to a OBGYN they might could see you without you're mom. Or either call you're original doctor and ask them if they could do it and tell them u dont want you're mom to know. They are not supposed to tell. Good Luck!!

The doctors have a law they must abide by it's called Patient privacy privelge act. which means if they told they could get in a lot of trouble. You could try your local health department. They are not real cheap. If your mom has insurance it may pay for it, but, she would find out.
