confrontation

Question Posted Sunday March 12 2006, 8:04 pm

I have a confrontation problem. Meaning that I don't know how/can't confront people. Sometimes this is okay, but I can't even tell people when I'm mad at them and it only ends up hurting my relationships with people. Is there any way that I can overcome this problem? I'll rate high for good answers. Thanks very much.

okay I hope this answers your question cause I dont really know what you meen but anyways, I always had a problem with talking to people. One thing that always helped me was to first overcome the nervousness by like taking deep breaths and stuff. Then I would first write down what I say while im calm so I dont say anything mean and so that I dont stutter and stuff. I would practice it for a few minutes and then tell the person. Hope this helped!

A lot of people have this problem. It helps to be assertive but not agressive. Yes, there are ways to overcome this. There are a lot of good books out there that teach assertiveness. In addition you may want to read the book "How to win friends and influance people."

That is completly normall. You just have to build your confidence up slowly. Start talking to new people. When you are mad at someone talk to them about it, if it doesnt work then you walk in like you own the place and yell. To hell what other people think its what you think that counts.
