Cravings

Question Posted Thursday March 2 2006, 9:45 pm

Yes, I'm on my period, but ususally I am so good about cravings, but now they're unavoidable! Could anyone please tell me how not stop, but give in to my cravings, without them being unhealthy? Chocolate...ugh...it's the worst. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

chocotate may be hard to fight cause its just soooooo good, but with all the other stuff, just keep your hands busy. i learned that keeping your hands busy takes your mind off of food! it might sound weird but it works!!!!! so try that and if it does not work sorry!!!

but it works for me though, so im sure that it will work for you.

good luck

trust me, as you get more into your period, there is no way to fight cravings. for me at least.

Distraction usually works for me. When the craving hits, go do something else for a little while. Since cravings generally don't last long, doing something else will keep you away until the craving passes.

Another option is looking for different ways to satisfy your craving. I bought Viactiv chocolates. They're tiny chocolates that also provide you with calcium, something every woman needs. Usually, eating one or two of them is enough to satisfy my craving. You can also try to find a low-fat chocolate item, perhaps low-fat chocolate pudding.

Well..periods are only 5-7 days, right? Well, why not buy Low Fat or Weightwatchers chocolate and eat a little bit every time you feel like you need something? Your body is telling you that it wants chocolate, so give it it...just with 'x'% less fat :)
Best of luck!

try doing something to get your mind off of it. or eat something healthy & drink a lot of water. that'll make you not so hungry, and maybe itll go away. good luck
