so recently ive been trying to lose some weight. running, eating right (or trying) and mentally training my mind. ive lost some weight but i just cant seem to lose anymore.. and its really making me rethink the whole process and just want to give up. what should i do?
xoMarisox answered Sunday February 26 2006, 10:55 am: I would say continue what you are doing. Here'e my tip, everynight before I go to bed, I do 20 sit ups. Then the next weak I do 25, and I keep on adding 5 to each week. I want to try and lose a certain amount of weight by spring break, if I reach my goal I will reward myself. kayms914 answered Sunday February 26 2006, 12:26 am: well, if you lost the first few pounds quickly (a week or so), its because that was all water weight that your body had been retaining, and when your dieting, your body lets it out really quickly. usualy people lose 5-15 lbs in the first few weeks, so they get a boost of encouragment, but when it slows down and you actually start getting to FAT, thats when it gets difficult. the reasons diets and exercising fail for so many people is because when the weight loss slows down or stops for a bit, they get discouraged and quit. you just need to be consistant. weight loss is something that takes time. trust me, you dont WANT to lose it quickly. 98% of people who lose it quickly gain it all back plus an extra 10 lbs within 5 years. one way to encourage yourself is to get a friend to do it with you! my friend and i used to get burgers and fries for lunch everyday at school, and we agreed we were gonna stop doing that and now we buy salads everyday and we feel great!! its actually really fun when someones doing it with you. go excercising with a friend! and make a daily diet plan for week to week. make sure you balance all your food groups. but the key to it is, no matter how your body is, if you burn more calories than you eat, YOU WILL LOOSE WEIGHT and i cant stress that enough!! excersize daily, and i mean getting your heart rate around 100 beats per minute for a consistant 30 mins, and eat healthy, and you'll do great! be patient hun! congradulations on your first few!!

hco_babe answered Saturday February 25 2006, 11:50 pm: it seems like you're out of ideas for yourself, and it doesnt seem like you will be able to lose any more weight on your own. go to your local gym and get a personal trainer to help you out. you tell them what you want, and they can show you certain things you can do to get down to the weight you want.
