I'm kinda freaked out now Hi, you gave me so adive a few days ago, my question was the one where my period hasn't come on the 13 like it usually has and i just stated like 7 months ago and you told me that it was totally normal that it was irregular unless i was sexually active which i am definatly NOT and a few people said i should go on birth control? I don't get why and someone said this....
This happened to me. Go see the period & woman doctor (get a woman it's more comfortable). and you may need to take pills to get your period back on track. It happened to me cause i was simply irregular and that happens to all girls, but it was mostly cause i wasn't at a good weight (overweight at your doctor weight range) and that had my period go on and off. If it continues with you by no weight loss in fthe future it mat cause cancer in your vagina if it's a matter of weight problems or just needing pills for it. It's fine if you go see the doctor and see what's going on soon.
in there she said that if your overweight then this is likly to happen and i'll admit i'm not the thinest but i'm not really un healty i just have a little bit of baby fat and i'm actice because i play soccer but anyways i'm just really scared and freaked out and worried that i need to go on birth control (but i'm not sexualy active) and she also said i shouldn't lose weight and i'm trying to and i'm just basically freaked out and is that all true? do i need to go on Birth control. i just don't know what to you please help me lol
sorry it was soo long

You don't have to take birth control pills. You don't have to lose weight either.
It is true that the pill can help regulate your period a bit. But it is not necessary to do so. That is done more often for older women.
Being overweight can also cause your period to stop. But, we are talking a whole lot more than a few pounds of baby fat!
You really have nothing to worry about. You are normal as normal can be. It can take a few years to be anyway close to being real regular. And, like I said some are never 28 days on the nose!
To further set your mind at ease, here is a web site that should be of help to you. Be sure you read it all because the first part is for those who have had their period for a while. But, the info is good for you to know.
