Dirty, WHITE Horse!

Question Posted Friday February 17 2006, 10:40 pm

Any techniques to get a white horse clean and keep it that way???

My family is taking care of a fleabit gray and he loves being dirty ALL the time. I'd like to know if there are any whitening/cleaning products or procedures that work especially well (durr I know that a bath helps, but he hates it and we can't do it often). Is there such thing as spray-on whiteners? Anything that takes out yellow tail stains quickly? And I'd also like to know more about spray-on dirt repellers and if they work well...
Give me the best products (they are hard to find when they all claim to be the best)!

It is extremely hard to keep any gray horse clean (I have a fleabitten who I show so I know). Just make sure he or she is bathed the propert amount and that he or she is groomed every day. Other than that, there are some products made expecially for gray horses but I'm not sure exactly what they are called. I would suggest going to your local tack shop and asking them.

Another product that is kinda like the gray horse secret of our barn (passed to me only in a desperate time by a desperate owner...haha, so dramatic) is baby wipes. Just wipe them over a yellow spot and its gone like magic!

The only way that you can keep a horse clean is to wash it and keep it in it's stall..i know after i bathe my horses they have to go and roll all over the ground and that is they're way of "feeling better" so hope i helped

It's impossible! Fosse can never be cleaned! Mwahahah!

I think we should just cut out the white part of his tail, then it will be short and gray and cute! ^_^
