Listen.. this sounds impossible.. but I need to lose like about 50 pounds by may. I'm almost 200! That's so bad! I've done it before, I've lost 30 pounds in 2 months, but that didn't stick due to a very bad car accident which impailed my health (my neck was injured && kidneys) and led me back to an unhealthy weight. I just joined a gym, and I have a eating plan picked out. But I need some more pointers! Like.. how much calories should I take in.. and how much I should work out daily.. what exercises should I do? Please help!!
MikeCFT answered Thursday February 9 2006, 6:32 pm: You should be taking in at least 1500 calories a day in order to kickstart a caloric deficit needed to lose bodyweight and fat. You can lose 50 lbs by May, but not all of that 50 lbs is going to be fat, if you were to do everything right, I would say no more than 10-12 lbs of that total would be actualy bodyfat lost. Work out at least 3 times a week with weights and with cardio and eat at least 4 times a day. You can listen to all of the meatheaded advice that promises that you will lose weight fast through deprivation and ridiculous workouts and some stupid fad diet or you can do it the right way, but Iam going to caution you that making major changes to your body takes a long time no matter what Cosmopolitan says.
