DancinCutie08 answered Friday February 3 2006, 11:33 pm: its from the weather. winter always brings a weird mix of weather that causes nose bleeds. if shes getting them more than once a week you need to talk to a doctor but less than that is normal. i dont really think the head ache was related. some people get sick with the smell or taste of blood and her body might have known it was coming. i wouldnt worry about it. you can call your doctor and see what they think but i wouldnt make a trip out to see them unless they want to see her
also she could have had some sort of allergy to the advil. its strong stuff. she should try weaker things first to see if they wil help her like tylonol. it will decrease the risk of side effects which i think nosebleeds is 1 [ DancinCutie08's advice column | Ask DancinCutie08 A Question ]
SweetxxIntoxication answered Friday February 3 2006, 8:43 pm: If your house is rather dry and warm, that can tend to cause nose bleeds. There was a time when i got them almost everyday one summer for about a month because of the heat and dryness.
If she feels fine, I wouldn't worry too much, but if she starts to get a headache again i suggest taking her to the doctor, or maybe still go there anyway just to make sure anything is wrong. [ SweetxxIntoxication's advice column | Ask SweetxxIntoxication A Question ]
Angie1626 answered Friday February 3 2006, 8:04 pm: That happens to me very often, it even kept bleeding for about 1 hour a few times. My sister and I got those a lot because we were dehydrated, and our nose just gets dry easily. That could be possible for your sister and could have had nothing to do with the advil. maybe she didn't have enough to drink, or it is possible that it just bled out of nowhere, but that seems a bit strange. If she has taken advil before and this is the first time it happened, then it probably isn't because of the advil. if this is the first time she has taken advil, I would just ask her doctor about it and if anything could have been from the advil; just call in to the doctor to get their advice before taking her in. I wouldn't worry because I have experienced that, only not with the yucky chuncks lol. if it happens again, don't freak out but you might want to take her in if it continues to be that bad. just know that it could have been something that just came for no reason, because it is possible! jammy12 answered Friday February 3 2006, 7:43 pm: You know if it was my sister or my family...I would carry her to a doctor the same time or the same day! I think someone told me someone died from advil...but I think it was just a rumor. Anyhow I heard any asprin caps with a shade of red color on the cap have actual drugs in it...no telling if it's true but if i was you ask your dad to carry her...n try to let her use panadol or something [ jammy12's advice column | Ask jammy12 A Question ]
