My Best Friend is Smoking way to Much Weed What do i do?

Question Posted Monday January 30 2006, 4:42 pm

My best friend is a guy and i even dated him for almost 8 months but we broke and everything changed. He kinda went into this depression and started smoking and smoking weed. His mom recently died on Halloween, and it hurt him so bad. He usually goes to school high and im so worried he'll get caught and i'll never see him again. I've tried to talk to him about how its not ok and there are other ways of coping but all he says is that he loves mary jane... what do i do?!

well i took dare so its very bad to smoke weed. try telling a teacher or a parent and maybe his dad and maybe they can solve it so you dont get tangled in this mess.

well if hes smoking weed to help him cope, and doesent want to quit, id suggest trying to get him to not be involved with it at school. i know you wont like this but at least if you can convince him not to go to school high, and not to let it go with him outside his home hes alot less likely to get busted. must say though it sounds like he has some deep issues, that hes trying to smoke away. if your ultimate goal is to get him to quit try working on the stuff hes trying to forget. get him to talk about it, like how he feels about you guys not being together and about his mom, i think the most important thing is to listen when he talks and try to be supportive.tell him youll always be there for him and then be there when he opens up.he prolly wontquit untill hes worked thru these things that are underneath it all, but untill then jst try to get him to cut back to where its not just asking to get caught up.

Mary jane?..is she the new girl?.. anyway, since the both of you broke up, it means there arent or there still maybe some feelling between you. but what makes sense is that he is still your best friend. a best friends gott do what a bestfrend's gotta do! stay beside him no matter what happens. by doing this, he will sooner or later realize that you only want whats best for him. for some reason he'll know that without you telling him. stay close to him so that you could watch him. it is better seeing wrong things he do under your nose than not seeing it at all. ifever you are blaming yourself for what happened, dont. because you are doing your best to keep him in shape again.
