what was the dred-scott decision?

Two different links to help :) Basically the decision is 'slaves are personal property, and the government has no right to prohibit slavery in the new territory. Also, slaves weren't citizens therefore had no right to bring suit in the federal courts on any matter.

"Sperate, but equal" was the ruling in the Dred-Scott Case. Hope I helped.
