Hey. :]
I just have a question and I found your column randomly & decided to ask you!
My guy friend is really overweight, like and when I say REALLY overweight, I mean it. He's 310 pounds, and he's only 16 years old. Should I tell him that he needs to be more concerned about his weight? And how would I go about doing this, without trying to instigate a fight or something?
He knows he's overweight, by the way. He eats out ALL THE TIME, and it's just disgusting. I can't stand it. :(
Thanks for your help!
I love you,
NAIMEE

Well, damnit, you came to the most awesomest advice column that ever existed!
He should be more concerened about his weight. At first I was thinking PSCH! WELL HE MIGHT HAVE A GLANDULAR THANG! but then it was like...oh, he eats fast food all the time. Show him the movie 'supersize me'
Then, watch sumo wrestlers and comment on their fat-ness. Or even better, sit him down with a sumo wrestler and have them discuss weight issues. Where do you find a sumo wrestler you ask? Japan.
There aren't any overweight people in Japan. (besides sumo wrestlers) Coincidence? Spelled wrong? I think not! In all seriousness, if he doesn't respond to supersize me or go on a diet or anything, get him to laugh a lot. Laughing helps clear cholesterol and thus you have less chance of a heart attack. You could always challenge him to a diet-off. If he's compeditive then he'll diet-off with you. You don't even have to be fat!
I love you,
