chemistry helpppp please! A sample of an unknown radioisotope exhibits 8540 decays per second. After 350.0 minutes, the number of decays has decreased to 1250 per second. What is the half life?
THANKYOU SOOO MUCH!

Well, im assuming that the weight or mass starts out as 8540 and goes down to 1250 withen 350 minutes.
8540
/2 = 4270
/2 = 2135
/2 = 1067.5
???
Hmm, this doesn't seem right.
Well, let's see here.
1067.5*2^3=4270
Which would mean that
1250*2^x=8540
This is going to suck to try to solve.
Ok, well the closest answer I got is 2.77235, now divide that by 350
350/2.77235 = 126.246686
So the half life is ABOUT 126.246686 minutes.
That was easily the most I've ever thought about a question on here. Good luck in chem.!
I love you,
