hey,
i'm in a band and we play shows all the time but lately i've started to blow my voice earlier and earlier in the show. we're a rock band and do loud singing but not death metal screaming. sort of like cobain, if you will. i need advice on how to build up endurance in my voice and still be able to sing as hard as i do. i have no money for vocal training, so any help is hugely appreciated.
sizzlinmandolin answered Monday January 16 2006, 12:32 am: Sing all the time as often as you can and your voice will get stronger. I work at a summer camp and we do a lot of loud singing and shouting and stuff and I usually lose my voice near the beginning of the summer. My voice just can't take it because I'm not a loud person outside of camp. After a few weeks of it though, my voice gets so it can handle all that. The more you talk and sing and are loud the better off you'll be. Don't go overboard, because you'll lose your voice, but try to sing more when you're in the car or the shower or whenever you can find the time. I hope I helped and good luck to you!
