Liquid Diets Hello, I figured I would ask you this question because you are a Certified Fitness Trainer, and I figured you would be able to give me the best answer.
I'm a 17 year old female, I'm 5'7-5'8 & 140-145 pounds. I was wondering if you knew anything at all about liquid diets.
Do they really work? Or is it just another scam to get your money? Also what are your opinions on a liquid diet?
Thank you for your help

Hey- thanks for dropping one in the Inbox.
Liquid diets are basically a marketing scam to get your money. They promise quick results which will last. In reality they are right, you do lose fast when you first start out, but you gain all of this weight and bodyfat back very quickly. Our bodies not only needs calories..it demands calories and when we deprive ourselves of calories, we lose muscle mass and that's never good. They work...but not in the good ways that they advertise..they wind up hurting you in the long run, my definite recommendation is to stay away from them. Everyone always asks if there's a secret to losing weight fast and being healthy and there is. Remember "The secret is there is no secret." Eat good wholesome, natural food, drink lots of water and exercise. If you need help making a plan, feel free to ask. ]
