msmytee answered Saturday January 7 2006, 11:21 pm: Hi sweetie, please don't panic. If you are not having sex, then there is nothing to worry about. I wish your mother would take the time to actually listen to you and understand that you are only 13 and do not know what is really going on with your body. If your mother do not come around and take the time to see what is going on with you then please confide in an aunt. Express your feelings to your aunt that you would feel more comfortable with a female doctor. I hope everything works out for you. Please keep me posted, I REALLY want to help this situation. babiigirl answered Saturday January 7 2006, 11:20 pm: You dont really need to be too worried. i started my period and missed a month every now and then and i was worried just like you are. If you dont start up next month around regular time then maybe you need to see a doctor. If you do not want your family doctor to do that the you can ask your mom to talk to the lady/man who makes if to make it with a girl doctor for that one time.
twistedsister17 answered Saturday January 7 2006, 9:04 pm: Firstly, I am suprised that your mom would even SUGGUEST that you were pregnant! I mean, first of all, you're only 13, and second of all, I don't think it's not very nice of your mom to just assume, "Oh you missed your period, you're pregnant." But anyways, if you SWEAR you've never done it before then I would ask a doctor. You can't be afraid to talk to your mom. I understand being afraid to talk to your doctor though if he's a boy. You need to talk to your mom because she went through having her period and all that stuff when she was your age so she'll understand! And you probably should call up your doctor because you should really be getting a professional opinion about this. If you feel so uncomfortable with your guy doctor, try asking if you can talk to a girl doctor, that's what I did because I used to have a boy doctor too. But just remember, doctors are doctors and they already know about the whole male and female body so don' be embaressed! You're not the only one!
AlwAySz_h3r3_4_yOu answered Saturday January 7 2006, 9:04 pm: ♥ wow. well hunny, i think you should get a doctors appointment. and you probably won't go to your family doctor, you will go to a gynecologist, who specializes in this type of stuff. so good luck and i hope you get back on track! LadyGoodman answered Saturday January 7 2006, 8:57 pm: It's normal when you're young to have irregular periods, but if you're so worried, see a female gynecologist or doctor. It's the only way you'll know, so you can either suck it up and try to wait for it to come or get over it and ask your mom to take you. You're obviously not pregnant and I don't know why your mom would say that if you've never had sex. Don't freak out so much, though. You're not dying. Doctors deal with stuff like this all the time. Be glad it's not the other way around and your period won't stop, because believe me, it sucks 1000 times more. [ LadyGoodman's advice column | Ask LadyGoodman A Question ]
theadvicechick answered Saturday January 7 2006, 7:32 pm: Well I am 15 and I know that sometimes if you are doing alot of physical activity like dance and if you are very skinny your pereod can stop. it isn't a big deal unless you are pregnent and by the sounds of things your not. Maybe ask your friends if they have excperienced this before [ theadvicechick's advice column | Ask theadvicechick A Question ]
