hair straightening okay, i used to have really long hair, but i straightened it almost every day and therefore, i got split ends and had to cut it. i only got my hair cut a few inches, but i want to grow it out again. the problem is, though, i like to straighten my hair and i know that damages it. but i still prefer my hair straightened than way, because it can get poofy and annoying. so my questions are:
is straightening your hair extremely bad for you ? i mean, when i'm older, will my hair be severly damaged ?
and do you happen to know any hair products/shampoos that straighten your hair without a straightener (or without damaging hair) or any good products to protect long hair ?
thanks for your help ! =)

straightening wont be bad, as long as your protect your hair . and do it right.
first : if you have a dry straightener.. NEVER straighten wet hair. ever. it needs to be completely dry. but if you have a wet to dry one, then its fine.
next : you might want to get some heat protection spray, you can find it in beauty stores, you spray it on before you straighten it, and it helps protect it.
then you might want to get hair treatment, for you to do every week or so. or get a deep conditionar or something like that.
so if you take good care of is, it wont be bad for your hair.
but dont straighten in everyday.
you can wear it curley some times, or up.
and weekends, if you dont do anything one day. dont straighten it. the longer you go with out straightening it , the straighter it will be the next time you do .
good luck ♥ ]
