Stephanieaguilar answered Sunday January 1 2006, 11:01 pm: the hymen is a thin piece of skin that stretches across the opening to the vagina. All girls are born with a hymen, but sometimes there is so little tissue that there may appear to be none. Little or lots, either way is perfectly normal and okay.If a woman's hymen hasn't been stretched open before she has sexual intercourse, inserting a penis or a sex toy usually stretches it (some people call it "popping the cherry"). Some girls don't feel any pain when this happens, but others do. There might even be a little bit of bleeding if the hymen wasn't stretched open before intercourse.
if your tissue is thick then it will hurt more than if you have a thin hymen because when you insert the penise it will be harder to go through the barrier if it's thicker.but everybody is different and some girls hymens are stretched open without having intercourse but by simply playing sports, horseback riding, or riding a bicycle can stretch open the hymen.but be sure if you really want to do this because loosing your virginity is a big thing well at least for me.hey somebody said to us a lube that doesn't work that can cause a rash and iritation just us a latex condom that already has lubracation and you won't catch any stds and you won't get pregnant if you us it proberly.thats what one of my teachers told me.weird huh,but she's a cool teacher.I hope I helped you go to this web site you'll learn so many things teenwire.com [ Stephanieaguilar's advice column | Ask Stephanieaguilar A Question ]

If you feel like it doesn't fit properly then chances are you are not using it right. Yea having sex the first time does hurt but obviously not to bad or women would be virgins 4ever or only have sex just that 1 time lol just relax, read the "instructions manual" in the tampon box again lol and give it another shot. P.S. regardless if you use tampons or pads, it wont make a difference when the time comes for you to loose your virginity. [ kristen22's advice column | Ask kristen22 A Question ]

Some girls are lucky and it doesn't hurt for them, but for the vast majority, it hurts like a bitch. There are things you can do to ease the pain though, when the time comes, even if it's far off for you.
-Foreplay! Make sure he goes down on you. I know it seems gross to some people but it will help you relax a lot.
-Being comfortable with the guy automatically helps because you're more relaxed around him, which means your muscles aren't as tense and you won't be as tight.
-Take a couple of advil beforehand. I hear it helps a little bit.
-Use lube, but not water based because that might make the condom (which you better use!!) rip. KY is fine, vaseline is not.
