You can also ask questions yourself if you need some advice. On the left at the top click 'Ask a question' to ask a public question. To ask a private question click 'Browse Columnists' to find someone & click 'Ask Question.'
Another thing you should know is when you ask someone (or public question) It'll say (1) by 'Your questions' on the left.. meaning someone has answered a question of yours. After you look at it you can rate it. Click what it says by RATE THIS ADVICE: ... click a number based on how good the advice was. 1-5. 5 is the best of course. 1 is the worst. PLEASE RATE REASONABLY!! Okay, thanks =) After you rate a question you can leave feedback by typing something in the box like "thanks" or anything really. You dont have to type something either.
You also have your own column!!! =) Its cool. On the left click ' Your Advice Column' to see it. To change the colors click 'Column Settings' on the left. You can change the background too by finding pictures and putting the URL under 'Background URL'. Dont worry about that now. Thats a bit harder.
On the left if you click 'Profile Settings' this is where you fill out info. If you dont want to you dont have too. Just leave it blank =) In the BIG space is where you write your bio. Like what you like to do, favorite music, blah blah blah.
Advicenators is a great place to meet friends!! Its really fun giving advice too!! Hope you enjoy it here and welcome =D
Teza answered Friday December 23 2005, 3:26 pm: Well this site is for advice. You can ask anything you want that you really need help on but there are some don't. Read the FAQ & it will explain a lot of things you need to know about.
You can ask any columnist a question or you can ask public questions. If it's a reasonable question and serious, you will get many responces. After someone answeres your question, you can rate that person 1-5. 1 being the worst & 5 being the best of course. Rating columnists is very helpful for them because it lets them know if they helped & if not they can imporve.
It's very good if you are able to make friends on here. Be nice to everyone & if you want to give advice make sure you give people your honest opinion and what you think is the best thing to do. People will defenetlly appriciate that very much.
Make your column the way you like it. You can't add music on it though. Add a picture of yourself if you'd like & if you like someones advice, add them as a favorite columnist.
You can become a mod. Level 1 mods don't do very much. It's a privlage being one so you have to earn it. You can rate questions that people ask. If you think it's a good question you will rate it a :) if you don't know rate it :l & if it's bad rate it :(. It will make room for more questions that people need help on.
Karen answered Friday December 23 2005, 3:12 pm: This site revolves around advice, whether you are asking or answering a question. Every columnist on here has their own column. You can customize your column layout and colors in your Column Settings and you can add information about yourself in your Profile Settings. If you want to answer a question, just browse through the questions, [Link](Mouse over link to see full location). You can also ask for advice either to the public or to a specific columnist.
