i just started goin out with this guy.. about 5 days ago. hes away rite now and wont be able to talk to him until xmas eve. I havent really opened up to him yet. And im really shy so its always hard for me to around anyone. How can i be more open and myself on the phone with him expecially? Also, his birthday is soon. Should I get him anything? Im of course gonna talk to him on the fone..and wish him a happy b-day but idk if im gonna hang out with him before or after or w/e .

It's okay to be shy but you've only been going out for 5 days. It will take you some time to get comftrable around him & everything else. You just have to have fun being around him & talking to him. That's how you can open up. Get to know him first & then you have to be able to trust him. Since his birthday is comming up you should get him something. Not a lot, but something small to show that you care. Like a giftcard or cologne.
