What does "When In Rome..." supposed to mean??

it basically means ceaze (sps?) the oppurtunity. Like, as long as your already doing something, go seeper. "When in rome do as the romans do," As long as you're in rome, take your chance.

If you're visiting a place (like rome), you are supposed to assimilate to the local culture (like the romans). This originated because Rome was at one time the center of Europe's civilization.

It's short for: "When in rome, do as the Romans do". It means when you're at a place where a particular thing is acceptable, it's okay for you to do said thing.

when in rome, do as the romans... i believe is the correct phrase. It means do as is customary wherever you are (like if you visit a foreign culture for example).
