Games, games, games!

I had a party today, and it was so much good, clean fun. It was a mixture of guys and girls, age ranging from 11 to 17.

One game we played was where you make even rows of people (like three rows of four). It's a little hard to understand what this looks like, so I'll demonstrate.

.

.
.

Ok, the four dots indicate four people. They're standing back to front - like they were going to conga. Make as many lines of people as you need, like straight lines of people. Make sure they're even. (Or as even as possible)

The last person of each row is taken to a different room and shown a picture. This picture needs to be fairly simple, like a lightbulb (a cartoon drawing), a Christmas tree, a leaf, a smiley face, a car, etc. The people who were taken from the rows go back to their spots, where they draw the picture they saw (with their finger) on the back of the person standing in front of them. The second person draws the picture on the back of the person in front of them, and so on and so forth until there is only one person - the person in the front - who draws what they felt on their back on a piece of paper. This gets really hard because you can't talk to each other, and you have to feel the picture on your back, then transfer it from person to person to paper.

Another game.

Give everyone ten (or more, or less, depending on what you wish) pennies, or BINGO chips. Have everyone sit in a circle; put a bowl in the center of the circle. Choose someone to start. This person has to say something they have NOT done, but someone else may have done. Whoever has done the action at hand must put one of their chips in the bowl. The object is to have the most chips at the end of the game.
Example : I have never had braces, but many of my friends have. So everyone who has had braces must put one of their chips in a bowl.
You would say :
[person one] : I've never had braces.
[group of people] : 'I have,' 'I have not,' 'I have,' etc. etc. If the person has had braces, they put one chip in the bowl. If they have not had braces, they do not have to do anything. This continues around the circle, each person thinking of something they've NEVER done, but that someone else may have done.

Another game.

This one is called "Honey, if you love me, you'll smile." This game is best explained if I use names. The names I'm using are Charlie, Jill, Meagan, Lee, Ben, and Samantha. [these are not real people.] Ben is the starting person.

NARRATION : Ben's objective is to make someone smile so he is no longer 'it.' He is allowed to make funny faces, sing, dance, or whatever he wants to do (with the sole exception of TOUCHING the person) while he says his line - 'Honey, if you love me, you'll smile.' The second person must reply to Ben, without smiling at all, looking him in the eye, saying 'I'm sorry, -Enter name-, but I don't love you at all.'

[Ben] : Honey, if you love me, you'll smile.
[Jill] : I'm sorry, Ben, but I don't love you at all.

NARRATION : Since Ben had no luck with Jill, despite the fact that he was singing his line and dancing (quite poorly, I might add), he must move on and try, try again!

[Ben] : Honey, if you love me, you'll smile.
[Charlie] : I'm sorry, Ben, but I don't love ... [Charlie smiles.]

NARRATION : Since Charlie smiled, he is now 'it.'

[Charlie] : Honey, if you love me, you'll smile.
[Meagan] : I'm sorry, Charlie, but I don't love you at all.

NARRATION : Charlie must try again.

[Charlie] : Honey, if you love me, you'll smile.
[Samantha] : I'm sorry, Char... [Samantha smiles.]

NARRATION : Since Samantha smiled, she is now 'it.'

You can see how the game works now. You end whenever you want to.

There are also movie options as well as board games.

Sorry I wasn't much other help.

When I was that age, there was a few things that my friends and I always did
*Truth or dare
*Twister
*watch movies
*Play Ditch (Hide and seek outside when its dark out)
*Play Never have I ever (without alcohol of course) Thats where you hold up 10 fingers and go around in a circle saying things you've never done. If the others have done it, then they put down a finger, if no one else has done it either, then you put down a finger. Once all your fingers are down, then you're out. Last one up wins.
*Play board games

Have fun!

* AND if you do go outside for a little while you can come back in and have hot chocolate and talk or...
* Watch a Christmas-y movie or one that isn't your pick.
* sorry thats not alot but you can use that and lead into other stuff.I'm sure you'll think of stuff! It'll just sort of flow. lol well ttyl.

umm, okay well you can have some music and dance or sing and all that good stuff. TRUTH OR DARE. i know a lot of teens at parties/get togethers like to play that and its fun. but to keep it age appropriate then i would suggest maybe adding a few rules and/or restrictions. like no sexual things or nasty things. :) have fun.
