Question Posted Wednesday December 14 2005, 8:06 pm
Suddenly this year I feel like everything bad is just piling up into one huge mess and won't go away. Like PSAT scores, my Dad's death a few years ago (I now miss him more than ever), crush complications not working out, grades... things like that. It's making me feel gloomy and sad and even my friend told me for the past month I've seemed kind of sad off and on. I'm not in depression or depressed or whatever, but... What are some things that can help me clear this all up and what are some ways to get me to feel better?

Yes. This happens to all of us, sweetheart. You cannot make it dissapear without time. Time heals most things. I have found that it helps to look towards your future. Imagine yourself within the next year or two. Will you be stressed about the same things you are stressed about now? No, didn't think so. That means that it won't really matter within time. You will have other concerns. About your Dad. You will never stop missing him. That is something in life that we all must face and I am truely sorry that you have had to face it in such an early time of your life. It will make your stronger as you get older and it should make you feel better to know that he is safe now. He is in peace and in a better place. Here is an idea. When you are stressed or not feeling too great, look to your Dad for guidance. Talk to him. I hope I helped. Happy Holidays!

I also discovered Irish fiddle music is awesome. The Chieftains have a really upbeat cd that threw me into a frenzy if emotional ecstasy. It was strange.
