snayells answered Tuesday December 13 2005, 1:12 pm: I dont know where u live but in england try Vaseline, you can get it in little lip pots or tubs or creams- i have a little lip tub that costs 85p and i dont get chapped lips or cold sores and you can put it wherever thats dry and flakey
FunnyCide answered Tuesday December 13 2005, 10:26 am: Zilactin B is what I always use when I have a cold sore or fever blister (they are virtually the same thing). Just keep the Zilactin on there and it should go away in a few days, 3-6 days usally.

hco_babe answered Tuesday December 13 2005, 8:10 am: it will go away, but sometimes they come back. the doctor can give you this special medicine, it's like these pills. and they work so well! you take one and its gone. he gives you a whole container thing or whatever so whenever you get one you'll have some on hand to take one and yours will be gone. naimee answered Monday December 12 2005, 11:18 pm: The sores become covered by scabs that, typically, fall off after 8 to 10 days. The virus can spread until the sores are completely covered by scabs. Just keep using zilactin, don't touch the cold sore, or try & cover it with make up. And it'll be gone before you know it! :) [ naimee's advice column | Ask naimee A Question ]
