losing weight but gaining weight i've been trying to lose weight by eating better and running in place for a long time. (it's too cold to go outside and they streets are full of ice). it seems like i'm losing the weight in my butt and thighs, but it's just travling up and making my love handles and stomach chubbier. what can i do about this?

Taking long walks daily is a great fat burner, doing sit ups and bunny hops is also a good way to help your abs.

Try working out your stomach too. Do some crunches or sit ups. ]
do sit ups and as you go up, put your left elbow on your right knee, and you can witch, like right elbow, left knee..

First of all I applaud you for trying to lose weight the healthy way.
Secondly, try adding crunches to your daily routine. If you do them right you should feel the burn in your lower abs (NOT your back) and they should hurt like a mother if you do enough of them. But they work miracles, believe me. ]
here are some great exercises you can do. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) ]
i have the same exact problem. it sucks not being able to maintain a certain wait like otherrs, but what helps me is doing a full set of 50 crunches every morning, and every night. i also do pilates. it is a quick, simple workout tht is easy for anyone. the dvds are inexpensive along with the equipment needed. its a good investment and it should keep ur stomach firm and make it flatter as you progress. but dont lose track of your thighs and legs. mountainclimbers will keep those firm. and this does not involove going outside :)
Hope to Have Helped Hun♥_ ]
Oooh love handles are hard to get rid of.Try doing some cruches, situps,i do 50 or 100 a day(not all at once but just seperate them 25 four times a day or 50 twice a day...anything that works your abs and if you continue eating right they you should start to see the diffrence.Hope I helped.
