CHristmas

Question Posted Friday December 9 2005, 5:35 pm

I am not a materialistic person,
but...
my family(extended) is doing a kk thing for christmas this year.
I need some ideas of things to ask for, because i really do not want a material object for christmas.
What are some ideas i could ask for to look like I am being an active part of the plan.

Hmm...tough one. First off thanks for dropping it in my inbox, feel free to do so again anytime. Well, you don't want a material object...does that include clothes? Clothes are a necessity for everyone. I don't think in any way you would be seeming materialistic if you asked for a sweater or t-shirt [nothing expensive]. People give and get clothes for Christmas all the time, and its not looked upon as materialistic as asking for like an iPod for example. Also a photo album would be something to ask for thats inexpensive and easy to find - you can also hold onto it for the rest of your life. So anyways I hope thats what you were looking for. If by chance you wanted to ask for something that was not an object, try maybe something like...buidling a cake with help from your parents or other relatives. Like for example say: oh yeah for Christmas what I want to do is make my own cake. I'm sure that doesn't cost too much to do, and could actually be a lot of fun. Look for something along those lines, like maybe going somewhere or doing something as a present instead of an actual object present if thats what you were trying to avoid. Hope that helped and good luck - Merry Christmas =)
