OMG i just swalled a tortilla chip. it was half of a "Tortillas : Scoops!" and it got stuck in my throat. it didnt totally cover my pipe but i felt it got stuck. i think it ripped something on its way down and im really nervous. then i could feel it going down my body and it felt like it was ripping anything it passed. I'm so scared. What do I do? I already tried drinking a thick liquid. It's down my throat nd all so thats fine.

Ouch, try not to eat anything sour or spicy! Tell your parents. If it doesn't stop hurting in a few days, go to the doctors!

Dear Scared,
I think if your this scared of it ripping something or sutting something inside of your body then you should make an appointment to go see your doctor i'm not 100% on what they could do or what they do for that sort of thing but just have them take a little look around to make sure every thing is okay and just to let you know that right now it's prbably not there anymore because the natural acids in your stomache have already broken it down so you don't have to worry about it being there for a long time.

Good luck much love and be careful next time lol

if it already got down your throat then its just fine. i always get scared when it feels like somethings going down wrong, but if it doesnt choke you within 5 minutes, id say your good. most of the feeling involved in this is in your head, once you get really worried about something, you actually start to feel something wrong with you. i dont think you should be worried, the tubes in your throat are actually a lot bigger than you think. Half a tortilla chip isnt that bad.

Don't worry. When I was about six, I did a similar thing and it felt like the thing was stuck in my throat. We got it checked out by a doctor and it was just scratched. In a day or two you'll be fine - the mouth and throat heal very quickly. Avoid hard or scratchy foods, make sure you chew properly and eat lots of protein rich foods (e.g. cheese, milk, meat, yoghurt) to help your body heal :)

dont worry about it, you body will break down the tortilla in your stomach and it will be fine, there is no need to get yourself worried about it. and your if you have scrathed your throat it will heal very fast.
