Question Posted Tuesday November 29 2005, 11:01 am
I just tried redownloading Sims 2, and it says -
"A problem occured while trying to transfer the file 'TSData\Res\Sound\Sfx1.package'. Do you want to retry to copy the file or cancel the installation.
I tried to restart my computer, clean off the disk, and try the installation over. It does the same thing. I've downloaded this before on my computer, so I don't see why it's doing this now. Any ideas?
livingLIKEloversxx answered Tuesday November 29 2005, 3:45 pm: i had the same problem with sims before. for me it meant that there wasn't enough hard drive space on your computer to store all of the information that sims 2 has. Because sims 2 is a very large file. you should try deleting un-used files and documents. You should also try downloading it on another computer, to see if its the disk, or your computer. Because i have to say that i broke 2 computers with sims 2, they always froze in mid game, and it totally crashed my computer. so i really wouldn't recomend installing it. but if you want to you can, like i said, delets things so therers enough space on your comp. you should also try installing it regularly in a few days, sims is reall fragile. if nothing works, you should just play on a different computer in the house. and if you dont have another computer, and if nothing works, i dont no what to say. im not really i computer whiz. If it still doesn't run, it might be because your computer does not fit the requirements needed in order to run it. Check on the back cover of the disk, you'll see a list of requirements.
