Ok, Salt is Na+ and Cl-
The Vanhalf factor states that since its 100% ionized that 2 particles will come from it
NaCl is a ionic bond making the Freezing point low and the boiling point high.
Salt comes from when a Na particle and Cl particle meet with enough kinetic energy to combine into the new substance NaCl... if there is not enough Activation energy, the product(NaCl) will not be formed.
For different types, there are many and are answered in the others
Hope that helped =)

The properties of salt are sodium (Na) and chloride (Cl) that are combined together to make NaCl. These elements are very poisonous alone and are never found free. Salt comes from rock deposits in the ocean that are evaporated, leaving salt deposits.
