Okay so my best friend...we'll call him Johnny...so he and I were really close for so super long, like I've known him since I was a kid. Anyway, we've been really close for years and then the other day, he tells me he loves me, and then he says that he only means as a friend. Now I know this shouldn't bother me, but it does. It does because there was this hesitation. It was like,
"Gina, I...I love you" *stunned expression* "I mean only as a friend...hehe"
What does all of this mean?

AnnieLee225 answered Friday November 25 2005, 8:44 am: I can't speak for Johnny, because I don't know him but it sounds to me like he might love you as more than a friend. I wouldn't be concerned though, because as long as your friendship hasn't changed, then you don't have to do anything about the way he feels. It may seem strange at first, but don't act any differently around him. You don't want to "queer up the friendship" as my roomate says. Hope I helped
