Hi
I'm 15 years old and i've had my period for a little bit over a year now. I have always used pads, but i'd really like to start using tampons. But there's only one problem, im so scared of them. I've tried using the before, but im just scared to leave something up there...please help me. Are there small tiny tampons for teens to use? im sooo freaked out.

I totally know what your saying! Uggh! I never wanted to leave anything up there either. I always thought that they could get lost or something. Then, I found out that nothing can get lost in your vagina. There is only one way out! That helped alot. Also, I found out that it doesn't hurt and if it does, you don't have it positioned right and you should move it around until it feels okay. There are special tampons for teens to use. Just go into a pharmacy and ask a female pharmacist, she'll direct you in the right area. Don't be scared! Nothing can happen by leaving tampons up there (especially if you change them every few hours)

Go to the eye doctor, sweetie! I know that you don't want to lose your great vision but its important you get checked out for vision problems. I mean, it could just be a cold thats making you get gunk in your eyes (ick!) but you should still go get seen by an optomologist

i got my period over the summer for the first time. i skipped a month, then i had it last month nd this month. i know that is normal. is it normal that i had my period last week, then i got it again today & it is really light color? could it be because this week i started basketball for my school?

This is a very normal thing and I wouldn't be worried. Sometimes your period just likes to take a break and then start up again, especially when your still getting settled with it. No worries

Okay so my best friend...we'll call him Johnny...so he and I were really close for so super long, like I've known him since I was a kid. Anyway, we've been really close for years and then the other day, he tells me he loves me, and then he says that he only means as a friend. Now I know this shouldn't bother me, but it does. It does because there was this hesitation. It was like,
"Gina, I...I love you" *stunned expression* "I mean only as a friend...hehe"

I can't speak for Johnny, because I don't know him but it sounds to me like he might love you as more than a friend. I wouldn't be concerned though, because as long as your friendship hasn't changed, then you don't have to do anything about the way he feels. It may seem strange at first, but don't act any differently around him. You don't want to "queer up the friendship" as my roomate says. Hope I helped

Sex doesn't neccessarily equal love. If your boyfriend loves you (and you might want to keep in mind that you have only been together for 2 weeks)he might just want to save himself. I agree that it's not fair for him to ask sexual favors of you that only give him pleasure but you have to remember that he can return the favor. All you have to do is ask. Look, the truth of the matter is that you shouldn't with hold sexual favors but you also shouldn't become his sex slave. There is a good balance in there somewhere and I know you can find it. You shouldn't have forced sex on him because you never know, maybe he wanted to wait because he wanted it to be special. Keep a good head on your shoulders and don't worry, just try to find that balance!
