what r some good streches for a split becuase for cheerleading we nned to know how to do a split and I am almost dowm but I JUST CAN'T do it please help

i do stretches like that in dance. what we do is stand and put one laq on the ballet bar and try to stand up straiqht. you could try it ona chair or somethin everyday to try to qet more flexible.

I practice doing splits in dance class. There are two ways to do a split

1.) Stratle put your hands on the ground, open your legs as if you are on a horse and lower yourself down then stay in that position for a count of 8.

2.) Get on the ground, put your right leg up while the right one is on the floor. Turn your right leg to the side and put your hands to the sides of you. Lower your leg down for the count of 8 then repeat for the left leg.

I'm a gymnast. Yeah it's frustrating when you're almost there, but you still can't get it all the way down. I'm not sure if there are any specific stretches that will help you get a split, because a split is a stretch itself. My advice would be to keep practicing your split. Make sure your legs are as straight as you can get them, because that's how you're supposed to do a split. Another thing you could do is do a straddle-split. I don't know if you've ever done that before, but if you need me to explain what it is, just ask =)
