What does it mean?

Does discharge mean your close to your period?

It can mean that. Sometimes after you get your period, you can have discharge too. Also, if you have anything like cottage cheese-looking stuff coming out, you probably have a yeast infection.

That doesn't necessarily means your going to get your period. You could discharge for weeks and not get your period. It depends, really.

Edit: You'll have discharge through out your life and it doesn't really go away.

Not exactly. You can get discharge for about 2 months and not get your period. It just means it's on the way.
