you could start your own band or something i love singing too and i dont live close to hollywood at all, so i am thinkin about gettin some people together who like to sing make cds and songs up...you dont only have to go to hollywood to get famous and big either..even to show ur skills u can go anywhere...usher got famous by singing and dancing at talent shows so maybe you should concider that there are alot of diff ways to do what you have fun doing which is singing and dancing

hollywood isnt the only place you can act. that is one of the biggest misconceptions alot of people have. there are meetings called "look sees" through different agencys all over the US. look in the phone book or even on the internet for ing/ acting agencys around your area. acting ing and commercials all fall in a similar category and the agencys usually have little meetings where they test you out in front of a camera and what not. they look that you are motivated, enthusiastic, and maintain good grades. you'll probably get a little interview and everything. also you'll need to get a head shot so if u havent taken any professional pictures yet, you're going to need them to give to the agencys. if you like to act, a million miles shouldnt keep you from it!

If you only think you love acting, my suggestion would be to look around in your community or your school and see if you can join a drama club or something.

If no such thing exists, then gather a group of friends and try to get them into Improv or something. Write acts, perform at the local karaoke bar, whatever, but act and sing. Practice everyday.

Then, when you feel you're ready to act professionally, look up in the phone book or on the Internet for an agent (if you can afford one) or look for casting calls for commercials. Have pictures of you taken. Appear in the Sears catalog if you have to. Just make sure you gather experience.

Whatever Paris Hilton says, you need talent to get in Hollywood. If you just fly to Hollywood and hope to work your way up to an Oscar, well, I wish you good luck, but you just might end up with a waitress job at the Planet Hollywood. (Do they still exist, by the way?)
