i have insomnia and i take ambien. i havent taken it for a little while, and now iam staring again. My pills are 10 mg. How many should i take? Iam supposed to adjust the amout based on how much it helps me and how fast my tolerance builds up. I looked at the website and i couldnt find the dosage or anything telling you not to exceed a certain amout of pills. Do you think 5 would be a good amount to take? Does anyone know the side effects of that?
Thanks!
NEVER take more of a prescription drug ( or any for that matter) than your doctor recommends.
If the dosage isn't doing it for you anymore then you go back to your doctor. If he thinks it needs adjusted he will give you a new RX and will adjust it for you.
Any question of how many to take (which should be on the package of any legitimate RX) Call the doctors office and ask. Do not just take what you think would be a good amount. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
