emergency brake!
i have a brand new honda crv & i forgot to take the emergency brake off while i was driving (for about 8-10 min). how will this affect my car? will it damage it?

Unlike everyone else i would like to state that driving with the E brake on is very bad. While on the engine its just like driving up a steep hill yesbut on the brakes its hell. you may think it just wears down the pads but it actually creates so much friction and heat that it will actually crack shoes in half.(mom borrowed my suburban and the shoes cracked) and it can easily warp calipers causes your entire set up to be replaced. you have to be very careful about not driving with the brake on

I used to do that all the time. It's not going to hurt your car. It isn't good for it but it was only once.

i think you should be okay, its not really great for the car..but a few minutes won't be so bad.
