i have to get arthoscopy, the doc thinks i tore my miniscus and i was just wondering like...what is it like does it hurt for a long time, what is it liek when you wake up, how do they puit you to sleep? thanks!

These are questions your doctor should have answered from the beginning! I would suggest discussing it with a professional.

You can literally walk away from that surgery from what I've heard. I looked a lot into it because my doctor thought I tore my meniscus and talked about doing that. You'll be in pain, but just a knee brace and limping for a week.

Yes they do put you to sleep.

My husband had the same surgery several years ago. They told him he might need to use crutches for a few days but he didn't need them.

It didn't hurt him very long. As a matter of fact he says it hurt much worse before the surgery.

He went to outpatient surgery and was home in the afternoon. He felt fine afterwards we even went out to a late lunch.

I am sure you will do great. Give it a week or two and you will be back to your old self. :)
