So, I want to die my hair but the only problem is that I have dark black hair and I have light skin and I am a black girl . I have brown eyes and they're dark and I don't know if I should dye my hair brown (light brown) or red. One guy actually told me to die it red at the tips can you believe that but I really do favor red. What do you think. Please just help me because I've never done anything like this before and mom isn't any help at all.

I also think if you chose brown, you should add some highlights, like red or blonde or another shade of brown. If you are doing it at home, there are some nice highlighting kits I do on my mom all the time. Also, lucky for you, if you dye your hair and your afraid you won't like it, just remeber black hair is easy to get back. It's pretty much all one shade so you can just get black hair dye and go back to the normal. Again, think brown hair with highlights, but red hair's ok, again if you want the punk look. Hope this helps. Tell me how it goes. Good Luck :) [ wrongnstillwrite's advice column | Ask wrongnstillwrite A Question ]
