sHakeitOff answered Thursday October 13 2005, 11:59 am: well first turn off everything-- tv AIM radio, i didnt say computer because ill tell you
first read your textbooks OUTLOUD statistics show that if you read something out loud once you will be able to remmeber more of it then if you read it 2 times to yourself
also while your reading jot down notes so your usiing a lot of ur senses at once
then read OUTLOUD any notes and handouts your teachers gave you
then look online for maps to study and information online to study , go beyond your school resources if you knoww hat i mean
good luck! youll do fine! <3
p.s.--another thing to help you is your attitude if you say youll fail you probably will tell yourself over and over that youll ACE it and stuff
get a good nights sleep the night before and EAT BREAKFAST!!
oh try downloadig a blank map off the internet and try to fill it in without looking at any resources see how you do and study the things youget wrong [ sHakeitOff's advice column | Ask sHakeitOff A Question ]

babiigirl answered Wednesday October 12 2005, 9:52 pm: umm i usually cram for test cause i have the worst memory ever.. but umm maybe try write the country and capital 5-10 times each then i believe yull simply be able to memorize them.
PinkLady4863 answered Wednesday October 12 2005, 9:32 pm: write the country, and capital on the page repeatably until you memorize it. then point out a way to distingguish the capital like, USA and Washington DC both have initials, u.s.a = d.c.
a little rhyming song usually halps me. it's lame, i know but i always sing one to myself while studying and it helps!
read your notes out loud, it is more effective then just reading to yourself because the message is sent through your brain three times instead of one.
If you need shorter names, use initials. like Spain and it's capital Madrid would be S-m or if that's too general, SP-MD. this is only effective if the test includes a word bank.
hope i helped and good luck on your test! [ PinkLady4863's advice column | Ask PinkLady4863 A Question ]
goldenphoenix answered Wednesday October 12 2005, 9:21 pm: in africa??
ok no problem
type all the info up in three columns (country, location, capital) and then list all of the countries and study them..try to memorize them!! and then you can get something to cover up the columns and quiz yourself
do you get it??
like you NEVER cover up the country column and then you cover up the capital and location columns and see if you can recite them without looking
it worked for me and a europe quiz
africa is pretty easy...just try to actually SPEND TIME until you get them all correct!!
all you need is the patience...
