ok well i run cross country and during the season i don't get my period. i don't get it because during the season i'm pushing my body really hard and i don't get it. well i know that i don't get it but i was wondering if an egg was still released or if it just stays in my ovaries. i think it might not get released but i'm not sure. this thing also happens to people who are annorexic. thanks in advance!
cheddar answered Monday October 3 2005, 11:36 pm: this happens to people who's BMI (body mass index) is under normal. the normal BMI is 18.5 - 24.9% body fat. this just means that you are probably underweight and maybe have some malnutritions. you can talk to your doctor about it. it's okay that you don't get your period. your body can only menstruate when it's got everything it needs. such as vitamins and stuff.
