A snowflake is a crystal. Some people tell me that it has 6 sides, some people tell me it has 8 sides, and some people tell me it has 10 sides. Which is it???

It has 1 side which goes all the way round the crystals spears and joins back onto itself, that my friend is called the Perimeter. LISTEN IN MATH THEN YOU WOULDN'T ASK SUCH STUPID QUESTIONS. MummuM answered Sunday October 2 2005, 3:43 pm: All snowflakes are different from eachother, no two snowflakes are the same. A snowflake can have any number of sides, 6 sides, 8 sides, 10 sides, even 15 sides. They're all different.

sbloemeke answered Sunday October 2 2005, 3:02 pm: Well, according to my column, it's 6. ;P. But, it is no set number, as the snowflakes are all different. Some are 500 sided, others are 4 sided. It just depends on how it was made. [ sbloemeke's advice column | Ask sbloemeke A Question ]
Karen answered Sunday October 2 2005, 2:23 pm: It's neither. Each snowflake that you see is unique and the number of sides they have varies. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
