Snowflakes

Question Posted Sunday October 2 2005, 1:38 pm

A snowflake is a crystal. Some people tell me that it has 6 sides, some people tell me it has 8 sides, and some people tell me it has 10 sides. Which is it???

Snowflakes are amazing, and I think one of the great things about them is their uniqueness. None can really be recreated; each is special and completely individual. A snowflake can have 6 sides, 8 sides.. or no real "sides"; some just.. 'are'; if you can make sense of that??

I figured you might like to see some pictures of a few snowflakes:

They are all dumb fucks. It has 1 side which goes all the way round the crystals spears and joins back onto itself, that my friend is called the Perimeter. LISTEN IN MATH THEN YOU WOULDN'T ASK SUCH STUPID QUESTIONS.

All snowflakes are different from eachother, no two snowflakes are the same. A snowflake can have any number of sides, 6 sides, 8 sides, 10 sides, even 15 sides. They're all different.

Well, according to my column, it's 6. ;P. But, it is no set number, as the snowflakes are all different. Some are 500 sided, others are 4 sided. It just depends on how it was made.

Ever heard someone say "Every snowflake is different?"

Yep, it's true. No 2 snowflakes are alike. So, some can have 6, 8, or 10 sides.

It's neither. Each snowflake that you see is unique and the number of sides they have varies.
